Renovations at Murtala Muhammad International Airport would cost ₦712 billion, Festus Keyamo

 


₦712 billion has been approved by the federal government to renovate Lagos's Murtala Muhammed International Airport.


Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, made the announcement.
Following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at State House in Abuja, which was chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the minister made the revelation.


He stated that the terminal will be demolished to its most basic structural framework and reconstructed with contemporary plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

"We are going to finish the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, everything, to have a brand-new airport, just for transparency to let the public know," he said.
He also disclosed that the renovation is anticipated to cost ₦712,258,565,482.18 in total and take 22 months.
