COLLAPSING : General Musa is sworn in as Defense Minister by Tinubu

General Christopher Musa, rtd, the former Chief of Defence Staff, has been sworn in as the new Minister of

Defence by President Bola Tinubu.

According to ONIKEWIDE, General Musa was sworn in at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.

Remember that after a thorough five-hour vetting, the Senate confirmed him as Minister of Defense on Wednesday.

The former CDS was questioned about recent security lapses during the session, notably the contentious troop withdrawal from Government Comprehensive Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, just before schoolgirls were kidnapped on November 17.

General Musa promised MPs that as soon as he took office, he would launch a thorough investigation into the army departure.

Along with other attacks on senior military leaders, the new Defense Minister promised to look into the death of Brigade Commander Brig-Gen. Musa Uba in Borno State.
