The Lagos State Government has outlined its plans to avoid traffic jams and lessen the effects of the ongoing
Lekki-Ajah road renovation on drivers.
It said that alternate routes, such as the Coastal Road and nearby service lanes, are being improved and opened to lessen disruption and offer more seamless diversions as needed.
In order to ensure that the majority of construction activity occurs during times when traffic volume is much lower, the government said that it has implemented a night-shift approach for key portions of the repair work.
The Lagos State Government acknowledged the worries raised by locals and commuters about the restoration of the Lekki–Ajah corridor in a message posted on its official X (previously Twitter) account.
