Numerous Miss Universe 2025 contenders staged walkouts during the pre-pageant event in Thailand.

This happened after Nawat Itsaragrisil, an official from the host country of Thailand, allegedly made fun of their fellow competitor, Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.

Nawat Itsaragrisil labeled Fatima Bosch "dumb" for neglecting to upload promotional content on her social media profile, which sparked the incident.

Nawat contacted security when Bosch objected, threatening to disqualify her supporters.

Bosch left in response to the humiliation, and others joined her in a gesture of support.

Bosch described the Nawat Itsaragrisil's acts as "disrespectful" and "undermining" to women in a widely shared video outside the venue.

"You have my utmost regard as a nation. I genuinely adore Thailand. I honor each and every one of you. You folks are incredible. However, your director's actions were disrespectful. Among other things, he told me to shut talking and called me stupid. Since we are powerful women, I believe the world needs to see this. We have a platform to express ourselves.
