Hilda Baci Receives Her Second Guinness Plaque for Her Culinary Achievement, Setting Another Record

Table of Contents

After collecting her second Guinness World Record plaque, celebrity cook Hilda Baci is commemorating yet

another achievement.

Her accomplishment of preparing the largest pot of jollof rice in the world—a record verified by Guinness World Records—is recognized with this new award. The enormous dish was made in September at a cookout in Lagos and weighed 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds).

Her first record, set in May 2023 for finishing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon, was just over a year ago when she received this most recent award.

Hilda Baci is now the first and most decorated chef in Nigeria to have multiple Guinness World Records thanks to her two outstanding achievements.

"Your plaques are finally here!" she wrote. Two documents. Two plaques. One tale of history, faith, and fire. God came through for me twice. We made Nigerian history twice. Not just any records, but two of the largest culinary records ever. Together with Gino, we made something greater than ourselves—a tale that was seen by more than 5 billion people and served as a reminder of what can happen when passion and purpose come together. I have the world record twice; please pinch me.

A two-time holder of the Guinness World Record! You will exult in your inheritance rather than feel ashamed, and you will receive a twofold portion. As a result, you will inherit a double piece of your land and experience bliss that lasts forever. Isaiah 61:7.
