Head of Nigeria's defense department disputes allegations of Christian genocide and claims that terrorism affects all Nigerians

General Olufemi Oluyede, Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff, has rejected allegations of a Christian genocide in the
nation, claiming that terrorism, which impacts people of all faiths, is the true problem.
"We don't have an issue of Christian genocide in Nigeria," Oluyede remarked in response to recent remarks made by US President Donald Trump that claimed attacks on Christians. Nigerians are being impacted by terrorism, and we have been working hard to reduce it.
He clarified that violent acts are a part of larger insecurity issues that the military is addressing across the country rather than being motivated by religious beliefs.
Oluyede added that President Bola Tinubu has strengthened the battle against insecurity by using new tactics, initiatives, and reforms.
He claims that the military is still committed to defending all Nigerians, preserving peace throughout the nation, and protecting vulnerable areas.
