Destalker: After failing at online fraud, I turned to comedy

Destalker, a well-known comedian from Nigeria, has disclosed that he attempted internet fraud but failed.

The comic said on a recent episode of the on-house Gist podcast that the acquaintance who first told him about online fraud is now a Christian cleric.

He clarified that his failure at online fraud was due to his compassion and his inability to commit fraud.

"I attempted internet fraud with a friend who is now a pastor before I left Enugu, but I was unsuccessful. After that, we would pay N250 for night sessions at the cyber cafe. My friend always paid for me because I couldn't afford it back then. Rev. Nelson Umeh is currently a well-known pastor.

However, I was occupied with Facebook conversations with my family, friends, and former classmates from Ughelli while he was searching for victims to con. I would then drift off to sleep. When you're in the wrong lane, there's no reason to overpay.

However, the tale has changed since then. Because I was not destined for this [internet fraud]. Because I have a good heart, I am unable to deceive anyone. Because of everything I've been through, I've become so self-assured that nobody can prevent me from reaching my objective.

Some comedians claimed that I wouldn't be able to perform at certain shows without them, but I assured them that I would still be amazing even if I didn't. And I did. "Some of the comedians are no longer relevant, and some of the shows have gone extinct," Destalker said.
