The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has refuted a widely circulated article that said its founder, Pastor

William F. Kumuyi, denied Christian persecution while accusing America of attempting to embezzle Nigeria's riches.

The church clarified in an official statement that Pastor Kumuyi has not held any press conferences in Lagos and is now overseas on gospel missions in Oceania and the Far East, calling the claim released by the unverified platform Ibomfocus "malicious and completely fabricated."

The church reaffirmed Kumuyi's apolitical position, saying that his priorities are still evangelism and moral change rather than politics.
