Pretty Mike Lagos club owner is arrested by the NDLEA in a coordinated operation

During yesterday's raid on a drug party at Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos, National Drug Law Enforcement
Agency (NDLEA) agents arrested over 100 suspects, including the club's owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, also known as Pretty Mike, and placed them under arrest for further investigation.
Loud and laughing gas were among the illegal chemicals found in cartons found in the club's store and among the suspects at the party.
Intelligence regarding the drug party led to the raid. According to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), NDLEA agents who had been part of the party since 11 p.m. on Saturday disturbed the event at around 3 a.m. yesterday.
At the export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos, the agency also found 70 cocaine packages factory-packed in the walls of cocoa butter formula body cream containers bound for London, UK, and detained three suspects during follow-up operations throughout Lagos.

After two weeks of investigations, two main suspects connected to the effort to export the concealed Class A narcotic to the UK were apprehended, while Lawal Olakunle, a cargo agent, was immediately arrested for presenting the shipment for airfreight.

Following the arrest of Deborah Ogunmuyide, a female health worker, in a follow-up operation on October 18, Mutiu Adebiyi & Co.'s chief executive officer was taken into custody on Monday, October 20, at his office located at 23, Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja GRA Lagos.
In a related development, on October 22, NDLEA officers arrested 35-year-old Lemena Mark of Lesotho and seized 103.59 grams of methamphetamine that he had attempted to export to the Philippines on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from the Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA) in Enugu. The drug was found in a Diabeta herbal coffee tea pack.

Following reliable information, NDLEA agents detained suspect Umar Abubakar, 40, at Bode Saadu, Morro Local Council, Kwara State, on October 21. Subsequently, they found 21,950 capsules of tramadol 250mg hidden within a 100-liter water heater.
